Abstract

This research aims to delve into the perspectives and experiences of individuals involved in the outsider reception system at the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters (RTAF HQ) to enhance early alertness in supporting security tasks. A qualitative research method with an online individual interview approach is utilized to gain in-depth insights into the outsider’s reception system and potential areas for improvement. Data from the individual interviews are analyzed using an inductive approach to identify patterns, themes, and emerging findings. The research findings reveal that the outsider reception system at RTAF HQ has several shortcomings, including limited utilization of technology and weaknesses in guest identity verification. Based on these findings, the research formulates recommendations, including the optimization of guest registration, access control authorities, inspection and detection procedures, guest identification protocols, security standard operating procedures (SOP), and the utilization of advanced security technologies. This study contributes to a better understanding of the outsider reception system at RTAF HQ and provides valuable insights to enhance early alertness in supporting security tasks. The recommendations presented offer practical approaches for improving the system and ensuring a more secure environment at the headquarters.
