This speech also emphasized that Indonesia would not stop providing support for the Palestinian people to gain independence. During the conflict, both parties have violated human rights, namely the right to live in safety and other rights. This phenomenon is in stark contrast to the foundation of the Indonesian state, Pancasila. Pancasila, as a national ideology, aspires to justice and prosperity for every individual. In the 1945 Constitution, Indonesia stated that it rejected colonialism and was ready to participate in world order. This commitment is proven by Indonesia's diplomatic activities for world peace. The free and active political system and the Non-Aligned Movement practiced by Indonesia really support Indonesia to become a neutral mediator in regional and international conflicts. This article examines the implementation of Pancasila in world peace, especially in efforts to mediate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The research was carried out using qualitative methods with analytical descriptions of data collected using library study techniques. World peace diplomacy based on Pancasila is non-interventionist and respects the sovereignty of other countries. Apart from that, diplomacy based on Pancasila upholds humanity, social justice and the welfare of all people. This is practiced in efforts to mediate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Pancasila, with its principles, provides a strong basis for supporting world peace. Indonesia, as a country that upholds Pancasila, has an important role in promoting these values at the international level and contributing to joint efforts to achieve a more peaceful, just and civilized world. 2023-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Diplomasi Pertahanan https://jurnalprodi.idu.ac.id/index.php/DP/article/view/14504 SISTEM PENERIMAAN TAMU ASING DALAM RANGKA MENDUKUNG TUGAS PENGAMANAN ROYAL THAI AIR FORCE HEADQUARTER 2023-11-17T03:14:54+00:00 Khemmachart Prommuenwai khemmachart4747@gmail.com Tatar Bonar Silitonga tbsdosen@gmail.com Bambang Kustiawan bkustiawan168@gmail.com
This research aims to delve into the perspectives and experiences of individuals involved in the outsider reception system at the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters (RTAF HQ) to enhance early alertness in supporting security tasks. A qualitative research method with an online individual interview approach is utilized to gain in-depth insights into the outsider’s reception system and potential areas for improvement. Data from the individual interviews are analyzed using an inductive approach to identify patterns, themes, and emerging findings. The research findings reveal that the outsider reception system at RTAF HQ has several shortcomings, including limited utilization of technology and weaknesses in guest identity verification. Based on these findings, the research formulates recommendations, including the optimization of guest registration, access control authorities, inspection and detection procedures, guest identification protocols, security standard operating procedures (SOP), and the utilization of advanced security technologies. This study contributes to a better understanding of the outsider reception system at RTAF HQ and provides valuable insights to enhance early alertness in supporting security tasks. The recommendations presented offer practical approaches for improving the system and ensuring a more secure environment at the headquarters.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Diplomasi Pertahanan https://jurnalprodi.idu.ac.id/index.php/DP/article/view/14505 PROPAGANDA ISRAEL DI MATA PUBLIK: PANCASILA SEBAGAI PENANGKAL HOAX DAN PELINDUNG KEMANUSIAAN 2023-11-17T03:14:54+00:00 Andi Sabrina Putri sabrina.arham58@gmail.com
Israel's aggression against Palestine has reached the scale of a narrative war, namely propaganda in the international realm. Manipulating public opinion and attracting sympathy are things that Israel has done so far, especially in front of large organizations such as the UN. Humanity values, which were originally used to help other people, are now used as a tool for politics and war today through netizens and cyberspace. International law has indirectly designated Israel as a lawbreaker because it violated three international norms. The researcher concluded that the balanced state that cannot be directly disturbed by the two camps is due to the clash of powers behind the scenes and the sound of international law, so that the only thing that can reduce the impact of the conflict for now is to apply rational thinking towards netizens, especially Indonesians. Indonesia itself has Pancasila which functions centrally and is universal in overcoming this situation. According to observations, the majority of Indonesian netizens are unable to process information from outside due to an imbalance in EQ and IQ. Even though this imbalance is only small compared to other countries, it will influence decision making so that Pancasila must be further actualized, especially in the 2nd principle. Pancasila itself is the basis of the Indonesian state which can make the country the friendliest country in the world. For its own function, Pancasila, which has an abstract dimension, can of course be an antidote to Hoaxes and a protector of humanity values within the Indonesian people, depending on whether the people still want to close their eyes and ears regarding Pancasila.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Diplomasi Pertahanan https://jurnalprodi.idu.ac.id/index.php/DP/article/view/14506 STRATEGI DIPLOMASI PERTAHANAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN INTELIJEN TNI AU 2023-11-17T03:14:54+00:00 Bambang Irawan irwanjakarta2000@gmail.com Afrizal Hendra ijal_91@yahoo.com Helda Risman rismancan@gmail.com
In achieving its main tasks, the Indonesian Air Force carries out defense diplomacy, which is manifested in various fields of cooperation with the Air Forces of friendly countries. One of the goals is to increase intelligence capabilities. The research problem is that the implementation of defense diplomacy in increasing the Indonesian Air Force's intelligence capabilities has not been optimal. The aim of the research is to analyze the implementation of defense diplomacy carried out by the Indonesian Air Force and the defense diplomacy strategy in increasing the Indonesian Air Force's intelligence capabilities. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive design. Data was obtained from predetermined informants and then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. The research results illustrate that defense diplomacy has an influence on the strength and capabilities of the Indonesian Air Force, one of which is related to intelligence capabilities. The Indonesian Air Force has implemented defense diplomacy in the form of cooperation with the Air Force of friendly countries in various activities or fields, but it is still limited in the intelligence sector, thus having an impact on the Indonesian Air Force's intelligence capabilities. The defense diplomacy strategy implemented in increasing Indonesian Air Force intelligence includes, among others, through technology transfer agreements for each purchase of defense equipment, increasing the exchange of information and collection techniques, utilizing access to foreign military facilities, increasing the role of the Defense Attache, developing and strengthening agreements with the Air Forces of friendly countries, expanding partnerships in the field of education, through exchange programs and research collaboration. All of these steps are directed at increasing the Indonesian Air Force's intelligence capabilities through a defense diplomacy approach.
2023-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Diplomasi Pertahanan https://jurnalprodi.idu.ac.id/index.php/DP/article/view/14513 THE ROLES OF ASEAN IN BUILDING A STRATEGIC EQUILIBRIUM WITH MAJOR POWERS TO STRENGTHEN SUSTAINABLE STABILITY, AND MARITIME SECURITY IN THE REGION 2023-11-17T03:20:06+00:00 Rudy Sutanto rudi.sutanto071@gmail.com Priyanto Priyanto priyantosuharto@gmail.com The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was founded in 1967 with a commitment to fostering socio-economic development and regional stability in Southeast Asia.
