STUDI KAUSALITAS PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI DAN PENGELUARAN MILITER DI INDONESIA TAHUN 1981-2018
Abstract
Pengeluaran militer merupakan bagian dari strategi kebijakan fiskal pemerintah yang digunakan untuk memperkuat perekonomian nasional serta keamanan nasional. Kesejahteraan ekonomi yang dicapai di berbagai negara di belahan dunia tidak terlepas dari faktor sejarah yang ternyata berhubungan dengan pertahanan. Aspek pertahanan dapat memberikan dampak secara nasional kepada perekonomian, yang dikenal sebagai efek penggandaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan kausalitas serta dampak jangka panjang antara pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pengeluaran militer di Indonesia. Data yang digunakan merupakan data time series yang bersifat tahunan dari tahun 1981 sampai dengan tahun 2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji kausalitas granger serta uji kointegrasi Johansenn. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan kausalitas yang bersifat bilateral causality dari variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap pengeluaran militer dan sebaliknya. Dalam uji kointegrasi juga menunjukan adanya hubungan jangka panjang oleh dua variabel. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pengeluaran militer di Indonesia bersifat keterkaitan ke belakang yang mempengaruhi sektor hulu dan keterkaitan ke depan yang mempengaruhi sektor hilir.
