KONDISI DAN STRATEGI PERTAHANAN MARITIM INDONESIA DI KAWASAN ASIA TENGGARA

Kawasan Asia Tenggara merupakan kawasan yang secara geografi sangat strategis dan dapat dipengaruhi langsung oleh kekuatan politik dunia yang lebih besar. Potensi kekayaan alam yang terdapat Asia Tenggara tentunya menjadi target tersendiri bagi pemangku kepentingan untuk memperbesar pengaruhnya. Pengaruh negara besar di Asia seperti Cina ternyata memiliki pengaruh yang luar biasa dalam proses pengambilan keputusan negara ASEAN dalam menjalankan strategi maritimnya. Dari sudut pandang negara ASEAN sendiri perlu adanya tindakan kerjasama antar negara di wilayah regional dengan tujuan untuk mempertahankan pengaruh dan independensi keputusan.
