PEMETAAN SUMBER DAYA RARE EARTH ELEMENTS (REE) UNTUK BAHAN BAKU INDUSTRI PERTAHANAN DENGAN METODE EKSPLORASI GEOMARINE

Kepentingan pertahanan nasional untuk mendukung unsur dalam komponen pendukung yang di dalamnya terdiri dari Sumber Daya Alam cadangan material strategis terkhususnya Rare Earth Elements (REE) dan industri pertahanan nasional, menjadi urgensi dalam kemandirian industri pertahanan nasional. REE memiliki nilai strategis di bidang pertahanan serta menjadi signifikansi pada industri pertahanan nasional. Penggunaan di bidang pertahanan dapat di aplikasikan pada teknologi pertahanan secara state of the art. Teknologi penginderaan dapat menjadi core study dalam eksplorasi REE dengan menggunakan metode eksplorasi geomarine. Permasalahan yang diteliti yaitu eksplorasi REE di Indonesia masih belum secara optimal dilakukan meskipun Indonesia memiliki potensi yang besar. Tujuan penelitian adalah memetakan persebaran REE di Perairan Sabang dengan metode eksplorasi yang baru yang didasarkan pada analisis data seismik dan data analisis sampel. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Analisis data yang digunakan dengan menganalisis fasies seismik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persebaran REE di daerah penelitian memiliki asosiasi antara persebaran struktur dengan aktivitas vulkanik berupa fumarola. Asosiasi tersebut dapat menjadi metode eksplorasi baru dalam pemetaan REE.
