PREDIKSI RESIDUAL VELOCITY PADA FENOMENA TERMINAL BALLISTIC DENGAN METODE EKSPERIMEN DAN ANALITIK

Uji balistik antara munisi dan plat baja armor merupakan bagian penting didalam proses desain munisi dan material armor. Penggunaan dua metode yaitu eksperimen dan analitik dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data yang valid dan tidak banyak membutuhkan biaya yang besar. Penelitian Terminal ballistic dari eksperimen untuk mendapatkan residual velocity proyektil akan dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan analitik. Untuk mendapatkan data residual velocity yang lebih solid dengan metode analitik, maka digunakan dua model perhitungan yaitu Lambert-Zukas dan THOR. Hasil dari eksperimen terminal ballistic munisi kaliber 12.7mm menghasilkan residual velocity sebesar 729,09m/s menurun sebesar 14,42% dari impact velocity 851,96 m/s. Data hasil eksperimen tersebut kemudian digunakan dalam analitik menghasilkan residual velocity model Lambert-Zukas sebesar 701,01 m/s dan model THOR 707,84 m/s. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode analitik cukup dapat dijadikan acuan dalam mendapatkan data residual velocity. Hasil Analisa model analitik dengan variabel impact velocity yang menurun hingga 400 m/s menunjukkan terjadi penurunan residual velocity yang konsisten antara 2 model analitik, yang menjawab bahwa impact velocity berpengaruh terhadap besar penurunan kecepatan proyektil setelah menembus sasaran. Penelitian lebih lanjut dengan menggunakan variabel sudut perkenaan dan penggunaan berbagai material sasaran maupun proyektil sangat dibutuhkan.References
