STRATEGI PENINGKATAN DAYA SAING PLAT BAJA PT KRAKATAU STEEL DI KAWASAN PERDAGANGAN BEBAS BATAM DALAM RANGKA MENDUKUNG PERTAHANAN NEGARA
Abstrak
Abstrak – Pasar plat baja di Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas Batam sangat besar yaitu 75% pangsa pasar Indonesia. Plat baja produk PT Krakatau Steel tidak kompetitif di Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas Batam terutama di harga dan waktu pengiriman yang lama. Sehingga diperlukan strategi untuk meningkatkan daya saing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi-kualitatif dengan metode wawancara, kuisioner, observasi dan studi literatur. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua rumusan masalah yaitu bagaimana menentukan kriteria daya saing dan bagaimana strategi peningkatan daya saing plat baja PT Krakatau Steel di Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas Batam. Dalam penentuan kriteria daya saing digunakan analisis AHP. Untuk strategi peningkatan daya saing menggunakan analisis SWOT-AHP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kriteria yang mempengaruhi daya saing baja yaitu Manufacture Strategy dengan bobot nilai 0,526 dengan sub kriteria cost, quality, delivery dan flexibility. Analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang dipakai PT Krakatau Steel saat ini adalah SO. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian analisis SWOT-AHP didapatkan bahwa daya saing PT Krakatau Steel masih bisa ditingkatkan lagi dengan strategi ST yang lebih relevan dengan situasi di Kawasan Perdagangan Bebas Batam.Referensi
