Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Before preparing and submitting article manuscripts, please note that author(s) are discouraged from withdrawing submitted papers after it is in the publication process (review, copyedit, layout, etc.,). During the time, Jurnal Peperangan Asimetris had spent valuable resources besides time spent in the process.

Please prepare your manuscript before submission, using the following guidelines and the article template

  1. Jurnal Peperangan Asimetris publishes the results of research or literary research, and book review. The manuscript submitted must be original and has never been published elsewhere.
  2. The title of the manuscript is written in English and Bahasa Indonesia, font: Times New Roman –14. The title must be as brief as possible and must represent the content of the manuscript. The title of a research-based article must be simplified and different from the title of the research.
  3. The writing system for research outcome is the title, name of the author, abstract with keywords, preface, discussion or analysis, conclusion, and reference.
  4. The manuscript accepted is written in Indonesia.
  5. The manuscript is typed using Microsoft Word program on A4 paper, The length of the manuscript is approximately 3000-5000 words in Candara size 12 pts and 1.5 space.
  6. The manuscript must be in *.doc.* and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you have not had any account yet, or click LOG IN if you have already had an account].
  7. All Author(s)' names and identity(es) must be completely embedded in the form filled in by the corresponding author: email; affiliation; and each author's short biography (in the column of 'Bio Statement'). [if the manuscript is written by two or more authors, please click 'Add Author' in the 3rd step of 'ENTER METADATA' in the submission process and then enter each author's data.]
  8. Authors' biography (in the column of Bio Statement) is written in the form of narration, including author's full name, place, and date of birth, educational qualification/information, the affiliation in which the author is currently working, phone number, and email address.
  9. Referencing and citing techniques follow the reduced reference technique (last name, year). The inclusion of the source in a direct quotation is followed by information about the page number of the referred source. For example: (Laclau 1998, 81).
  10. APA (American Psychological Association)-6th ed style is used as a reference in the citation, references, and the journal writing format. Use software tools, such as Zotero, Mendeley for reference and citation.
  11. The heading levels of the manuscript must be arranged as follows: (1) HEADING ONE (UPPERCASE, BOLD, FONT 11); (2) Heading Two (UPPERCASE, BOLD, LEFT-ALIGNED); (3) Heading Three (Uppercase and Lowercase, Bold, italic Left-Aligned);
  12. Article of a product of a study comprises the following headings: Introduction (research problems, frame of thinking, and research objectives), sub-headings of discussion, conclusion, and references. Meanwhile, the article of a product of research comprises five main headings: Pendahuluan (Introduction); Metodologi (Material and Methods); Hasil dan Pembahasan (Result and Discussion); Simpulan dan Saran (Conclusions and Suggestions); Daftar Pustaka (References).
  13. Authors' (and co-authors') names are written below the title of the manuscript, without including their titles or degrees.
  14. Authors’ affiliations are written below the names; email and phone numbers are written below the affiliations.
  15. Keywords: words or phrases which are important, specific, or representative of the article. Keywords are written in bold and italic, one space below the abstract.
  16. The abstract is written in two languages: Indonesian and English, as a representation of the manuscript. The abstract should be 200 -300 words for each language format (1 page for both English and Indonesian abstracts), written narratively in one paragraph for each, comprising aims/objectives, method, and findings of the research/article.

All correspondences, information, and decisions for the submitted manuscripts are conducted through email was written in the manuscript and/or the emails used for the submission.
