STRATEGI PERTAHANAN LAUT DALAM MENGHADAPI ANCAMAN KEAMANAN MARITIM DI WILAYAH LAUT INDONESIA

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang strategi pertahanan laut yang dimiliki oleh Indonesia dalam menghadapi ancaman maritim. Bangsa Indonesia memiliki keunggulan letak yang sangat strategis, namun keunggulan letak geografis dan jalur perdagangan laut strategis tersebut mengundang datangnya beberapa ancaman seperti hadirnya kekuatan militer negara-negara adidaya, munculnya pelaku kejahatan seperti penyelundupan, perdagangan manusia, narkoba dan lain-lain). Untuk itu strategi pertahanan laut yang dapat di terapkan untuk menangkal segala macam bentuk ancaman adalah dengan meningkatkan kemampuan deteksi dini di laut. Salah satunya adalah dengan cara mengoptimalkan dan memanfaatkan peran Pusat Informasi Maritim TNI yang berkolaborasi dengan para stake holder, sehingga seluruh penegak hukum di laut dapat mengetahui secara cepat indikasi akan terjadinya kejahatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian tulisan ini menunjukan bahwa banyak hal yang harus dibenahi dalam penerapan strategi pertahanan laut untuk menanggulangi ancaman maritim. Dibutuhkan kerjasama yang lebih intensif dan interaksi yang terintegrasi antar lembaga terkait agar upaya penaggulangan ancaman maritim dapat diminimalisir dengan efektif.
