Pengembangan Sistem Komunikasi Satelit (Siskomsat) TNI menjadi salah satu komponen yang penting dalam menjaga kedaulatan negara, seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi di masa kini. Masih adanya kendala-kendala dalam pelaksanaan tugas operasi menggunakan Siskomsat TNI. Tesis ini membahas bagaimana sistem dan metoda yang ada pada Sistem Komunikasi Satelit TNI, sarana dan prasarananya yang berupa infrastruktur Siskomsat, SDM pengawak Siskomsat yang menjadi kriteria dalam mengevaluasi kebijakan Pimpinan TNI dalam Siskomsat TNI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi tentang sistem dan metoda, sarana dan prasarana serta SDM yang dibutuhkan dalam pengembangan Siskomsat TNI dalam mendukung pelaksanaan tugas pokok TNI, terutama dalam operasi dan latihan TNI. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperlukannya upaya strategis yang meliputi penataan sistem dan metoda, peningkatan atau pengembangan sarana dan prasarana, peningkatan kemampuan SDM, dan pola perencanaan pengembangan Siskomsat TNI yang terpadu sehingga dapat mendukung pelaksanaan operasi dan Latihan TNI dengan maksimal.References
